President's Message
Greetings and Happy New Year my fellow Tifosi!
I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude for entrusting me with the honor of assuming a senior leadership role within the Club. It truly represents a realization of my retirement dream. I'd also like to express my deepest appreciation to Michael and his remarkable team for their incredible dedication and hard work over the past 2.5 years. I feel akin to steering a high-performing racing team, albeit with a new vehicle that will require fine-tuning and development to consistently achieve podium finishes and vie for that coveted first-place victory, time and time again. Your understanding and support during this transition are immensely appreciated.
Looking ahead to 2024, the majority of Michael's team has graciously agreed to continue, with the exception of Michael, Cecelia, and Jean. While Jean will continue to oversee the newsletter until March, we are actively seeking a new Editor. Are there any volunteers for this role?
I am pleased to announce the addition of Marie Egyed, a familiar face within our Ferrari community for the past 12 years. Her expertise in event management and unwavering commitment have prompted her appointment as our Events Coordinator. I am genuinely excited about her stepping into this role.
Although known for organizing local events in The Woodlands, I now consider myself wholly dedicated to our Houston Club. Consequently, I've invited Thomas Smouse to serve as the Local Events Contact for the North/Woodlands area. James Swift will continue to lead the SW Group, and we eagerly invite volunteers to lead the SE group.
In the spirit of progression, I've been scouting for a unique downtown venue for our Christmas Gala, seeking input from several sources. I welcome suggestions from each of you eager to contribute. Please reach out to me or Marie at your earliest convenience.
Attached is the initial version of our calendar for the upcoming year. Your feedback on the schedule is highly appreciated. We envision a monthly schedule comprising brunches, drives/rallies, and a variety of other events, including racing/karting, a firearms event, a cigar gathering, and a ladies' tea. Also, I invite you to meet my esteemed partner since 1978, Lori, the First Lady, at one of our events.
As you peruse the newsletter, curated with images from our December events by Jean, please get ready to relish your Club membership in 2024. Your comments and suggestions are invaluable. The Management Board page features the leadership team's contact information and titles for your reference.
Lastly, I urge you to acknowledge and support our sponsors—Ferrari of Houston, Ferrari of The Woodlands, and many others who
value your patronage. As a friendly reminder, annual
maintenance is crucial for your Ferrari's well-being.
Schedule your maintenance with our esteemed partner,
Ken Pifer, and his team at Ferrari of Houston.
See you at our events,
Nick

Member Spotlight
I have been a car guy all my life. Since marrying Suzanne, she now loves the car world as well. I have long been a fan of Enzo and his amazing Ferraris and recently when we pulled into the Grand Galvez hotel (where we often stay) and saw the Ferrari emblem on the front of the hotel for the Ghost Bride Rally and the amazing cars parked out front we were overwhelmed to say the least!! We spent the weekend viewing these beautiful machines and got to visit with many of the owners in the hotel lounge the night of the ball. We left there with a Ferrari passion and within six weeks had acquired our ‘85 Mondial Cabrio. This Mondial machine is exhilarating to drive with the wind in your hair backed up by the Ferrari exhaust symphony!! It’s also a great compliment to our small cabrio stable: Suzanne’s Maserati Gran Turismo; my Jag XJS V12, ‘29 Buick Roadster, ‘71 Pontiac GTO, & ‘56 T-Bird.
We immediately reached out to join the Ferrari Club of America & the Houston Chapter and we are so appreciative of all the hospitality the Houston chapter has extended to us - especially your President Michael Zeitlin!! (now Past President beginning in 2024). The Houston chapter gatherings we see in the newsletter remind us of the close comradery at our annual Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Club reunion in Auburn, Indiana, where we trailer our ‘34 Auburn Phaeton to each year.
We shall close by saying we are in love with our first Ferrari and look forward to meeting the Houston chapter members soon.

Ferrari Movie
Ferrari of Houston’s private showing of the new Ferrari movie was a fabulous event. It was held at the new Audrey Reel Cinema in The Woodlands. They pulled out all the “stops” for us!
It was also a night to bring a toy drive. Thank you for organizing this!
